COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Community Service Hours
Students may begin documenting Volunteer Hours after their promotion from 8th grade when they become a high school student (summer between 8th and 9th grades). Forms should be completed per activity and turned in during that summer or semester of service to be documented. Forms may be downloaded or picked up from the Guidance Office. Volunteer Hours are NOT required for graduation, however, Florida Bright Futures does require them and most other scholarships do ask for them. Seniors should turn in all hours to Guidance by May 1st. See below to download the form.
Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Requirements:
- Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) - 100 hours
- Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) - 75 hours
- Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) - 30 hours
